Vintage Wedding Editorial at Troutbeck Inn

Vintage Meets Modern in Troutbeck Inn Wedding Editorial

With its rustic architecture and pastoral landscape, the Troutbeck Inn is the perfect location to host your New England wedding. Located in Amenia, NY, the historic inn has an undeniable charm that has attracted creatives such as Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau. Drawn by the location’s natural beauty, several designers and vendors came together for a styled shoot. The result of their collective creative genius was a stunning and luxurious tableau showcasing the natural beauty of Troutbeck Inn.

Pops of Color

When planning the shoot Hearts and Soil Flowers envisioned a fun, bold, and spring-like color palette. Chelsea Suddes, owner of Pearl Weddings and Events took the color concept and created a spring-like shoot that contrasted against the rustic feeling of the space. In the shoot, the stone building and greenery were highlighted by the organic yet soft colors of the design details. Linens from BBJ La Tavola and floral arrangements with accents of blue by Heart and Soil Flowers are the perfect “something blue” for this styled wedding shoot. Purple was another color that made the overall design pop — from the bride’s chic purple heels to the hazy purple-gray accents of the table details. The vintage vibe of the gold tableware and the bride’s satin dress mixed with the modern pops of color are the details that made this photoshoot truly unique. As people often say, the devil is in the details.

Vintage Vibes

As if in homage to the venue’s historical background, this New England wedding styled shoot has an unmistakable vintage feel to it. Even the bride’s unique cream satin slip dress had vintage vibes. The elegant elbow-length gloves from Everthine Bridal and her loose waves hairstyle by Julie Occhino Luxury Beauty were a call back to the 1920s and ’30s. Nothing captures the overflowing extravagance of that era like a champagne tower! Even the gold tableware and dark cross back wooden chairs feels like nods to an era long past.
