Two Different Looks Transform Urban Space
Sound River Studios is a chic modern venue in New York City. The open space allows any vibe and any vision to be transformed into the perfect reception area. During a styled shoot, vendors from all over New England showcased their creative talents in two different looks. Keep on reading for more design details at this NYC wedding venue!
Urban Modern Rustic
The first look was a rustic design with a modern twist. The color palette for this setup was gold, yellow, off white, with the perfect green accents from the lush florals designed by Petals and Plates. The light installation by EZ Occasions added the perfect modern twist that matched the modern urban atmosphere of Sound River Studios.
Two identical lounges from our sister company, Rent Pearl, framed the table. With jute rugs and black velvet couches, the rustic lounge with modern features tied in beautifully with the table setting.
This look’s design revolved around the linen. Chelsea, the planner and designer, wanted warm color tones that complemented the plaid linen. The overall design was fun, funky and brought a retro vibe to the space with some contemporary elements. One of our favorite details was its its gold accents — gold-rimmed glassware, gold utensils, and even the gold antique candle stick holders to this rustic look to the next level.
Whimsical Urban Garden
The second look was straight out of a fairytale. This design lush with greenery was stunning in its stark juxtaposition of the converted warehouse space. With long flowing drapes, rattan lanterns, and sprawling vines, this look was ethereal. Its corresponding lounge had the perfect mix of vintage and modern elements. This look is perfect for the couple that is earthy and a little bit whimsical but wants an urban flare for their big day. This look also had gold details that looked gorgeous with its wood detailing. The lanterns, wishbones chairs, and rattan chargers, are organic elements that give this look an earthy vibe in this urban wedding venue.
Inspired by a classic wedding design, this ethereal look focused on heavy greens and adding wicker elements to soften the design. The earthy elements continued in this look’s corresponding lounge area using Rent Pearl furniture. The gold and light wood elements brought an elevated rustic tone to this wedding scene in an urban wedding venue.
