Classic New England Vineyard Wedding

Mollie and Frank’s New England wedding took place at a CT vineyard which was transformed into a stunning floral wonderland.

Molly and Frank met on a dating app during the Covid-19 pandemic so most of their first dates were hikes. Frank proposed in March of 2022 while surrounded by nature while on a walk. The couple is very adventure-oriented and loves nature and flowers so Pearl Weddings and Events absolutely had to incorporate that love into their New England wedding celebrating their love for each other.

While planning their wedding, the couple didn’t want it to be “cookie cutter.”  Lucky for them, Pearl Wedding specializes in creating experiences that embody the couple. “Thinking about our wedding honestly makes me speechless,” says Mollie of her wedding day. “There aren’t enough words to describe how incredible it was. It was like an enchanted floral fairytale that came to life.”

Quintessentially New England

Saltwater Farm Vineyard is located in the charming coastal town of Stonington, Connecticut. Its unique charm is quintessentially New England from its expansive vineyard to its wooden interior.

The vineyard was originally a World War II hangar but was eventually transformed into the bucolic winery with a beautiful CT shoreline that is today. As a public vineyard, it was open for part of the day and the vendors only had 1.5 hours to transform the reception area into the whimsical floral wonderland it became.

Such a gorgeous space allowed for so much creative genius on the part of Pearl Weddings. Mollie and Frank’s wedding day leaned into a contemporary feel with whimsical elements, tons of florals, and beautiful patterned linens and textures.

Dreamy Design

The gorgeous floral arrangements by Hana Floral were made with vibrant hues in blush, pink, coral, blues, and greens. Colorful flowers such as hydrangeas, roses, tulips, and peonies were placed throughout the venue. They lined the aisle, framed the seating chart by Phillips Designs, and made the perfect table centerpieces.

An elaborate floral arrangement of lush greenery and flowers hung from the venue’s vaulted ceilings above the heads of the guests during the reception. Gorgeous macrame and globe lanterns by Ryan Designs are also hung from the vaulted ceilings to create a modern beach feel.

“From the insanely beautiful floral chandelier and floral centerpieces on our dining tables to the flower appliques on my dress and floral details on our wedding cake, the flowers were a stunning focal point of our wedding,” Mollie said.

The table linens from Nuage Designs were white with blue floral designs. The head table had off-white linens with a delicate lace overlay. The color pallet further contributed to the classic New England vibe of Mollie and Frank’s wedding.

Playing with the vineyard’s wooden interior, chairs, and decor barrels, wood-burned name tags were placed at each guest’s seat, accompanied by a menu designed by Phillips Designs. Also created by Phillips Designs was the outdoor seating chart made with dark wood that perfectly matched the vineyard’s interior and mimicked the fencing that borders the vineyard where the grapes hang.

Floral Fashion

The bride loves flowers and wore a strapless floral gown and veil from A Little Something White designed by Mira Zwillinger on her big day. Her dress matched the gluten-free wedding cake from By the Way Bakery with its intricate and edible floral appliques. Mollie’s “something blue” was baby blue heels with tulle and jewel-encrusted bows by Badgley Mischka. Wedding dress with floral appliques

Because of the bride’s love for the color blue, the bridesmaids’ dresses were different shades to match the wedding day design. The maid of honor wore a floral patterned dress to distinguish herself. The groom and groomsmen wore custom-designed ties that matched the color palette by Knotty Ties.

Summer’s Delights

As guests made their way to their seats after cocktail hour, they found the unique place cards that had a poem of love and gratitude written by Yung Pueblo. “Our guests could see and feel the essence of us as a couple, everywhere,” Mollie shared.

During the reception, guests ate a delicious plated dinner by Gourmet Galley Catering that paid tribute to the shoreline of New England with scallops as one of the dishes. They also got to enjoy gelato from Pompelmo Galeteria’s gelato cart for dessert along with delicious cupcakes and cake.

Everyone danced the night away to live music by a band from Hank Lane underneath the gorgeous hanging floral piece by Hana Floral Design. Guests ended their night with chocolate-covered pretzels and popcorn favors for the shuttle ride home, made by Sweet Creations.
