Classy Chic Wedding at Wadsworth Mansion

An Elegant Affair with a Twist

This Brooklyn couple wanted an elevated, classic design for their wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, CT. Nicole and Matty’s wedding incorporated who they are as a couple. Pearl Weddings created a fun, classy, chic, and elegant affair for the couple to celebrate with family and friends.

In the overall white, black, and minimal design, pops of pink were also incorporated into the couple’s big day. These pops of color were pulled from a lounge nestled in the back corner of Pineapple Club — the groom’s first restaurant located in the East Village! Vibrant pink was also incorporated into various signage and decor throughout the day!

Black, White, and Chic

The stylish bride wore elbow length gloves that read “to have and to hold, to love and to cherish,” and an elegant pearl wedding veil. Her simple and sleek wedding gown perfectly matched the wedding design’s classy and minimalist vibes. After the ceremony, she donned chic black and white sunglasses with a subtle cat eye next to a 1961 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud.

All the flowers for the day were white. From Petals & Plates, the bride and her bridesmaids had simple calla lily bouquets that perfectly complemented the bridesmaids sleek black gowns. For the reception, there were white hydrangeas and other classic spring flowers to pull on the elegance and class of New England and the traditional New England design of the mansion.

The ceremony aisle was lined with chic modern rectangular black candle holders that lead to the floral arch that was covered with lush greenery, white roses, hydrangeas and other elegant white florals.

Things That matter

During the ceremony, Nicole and Matty were surrounded by their loved ones on the expansive green of the Wadsworth Mansion. Prior to exchanging vows, it was very important for the couple to share a mindful minute with their guests. The bride’s best friend directed the mindful minute that was intended to bring guests, and themselves, into the present moment to enjoy the ceremony and the remainder of the day.

Pearl Wedding’s sister company, Rent Pearl, recreated the very lounge from Matty’s first restaurant in collaboration with Emu Studio for guests to enjoy during cocktail reception. The chic lounge was the perfect homage to The Pineapple Club. Complete with pineapple wallpaper, a pineapple light up sign, and the perfect pink pink sofa!

As guests made their way to their seats after cocktail hour, they found their name card by Bonhomie Design adorned with a quartz crystal meant to clean the energy of the space and act as a deep soul cleanser. They also made for the perfect favor for guests to take home.

Everyone danced the night away on a black and white checkered dance floor under a clear top tent on the mansion’s patio. Their night carried on under the stars with the mansion as the backdrop. Instead of cake cutting, the couple opted to perform a champagne tower pour! But of course, bigger is better, as the couple poured a giant bottle of champagne, brought from Matty’s restaurant!
