Fall Fantasy Backyard Wedding

Not Your Average Backyard Wedding!

No one does fall like New England. Kristie and James hosted their September wedding in the comfort of their own home, or rather, backyard. During the pandemic, the couple revamped their backyard just in time for their big day. Pearl Weddings and Events was able to transform Kristie and James backyard into a reception area where guests could relax by the fire, eat delicious food, and celebrate. Continue reading for how a backyard was transformed into an unforgettable tented wedding.

Fall Florals

People often associate flowers with spring. But these fall florals were breathtaking. Kristie and James’ wedding day was filled lush flowers and fall foliage in tones of orange, off-white, and yellow. The whole area was filled with beautiful roses, amaranth, dahlias, moth orchids, and more from KLW Design Co.  From the ceremony arch, to the lounge, to the couple’s table, it was like you were taking a stroll through a woodland fantasy.

Clear signage and pressed florals have been wedding trends that have been all over social media. In addition to the bride’s love of flowers, we knew that we had to hop on the trend! Days before the wedding, the Pearl team glued delicate dried flowers onto the clear custom welcome sign, seating chart, and table numbers by Handwritings by Hannah for a delicate and dreamy touch to this fall wedding.

To the Mountains and Back

As the sunset, a neon sign glowed with a saying that the couple often says to each other: “I love you to the mountains and back.” The sign illuminated the honey-colored velvet Houston chairs from Rent Pearl. The chairs and the floral arch created the perfect place for everyone to take pictures and make memories of that day. In the spirit of backyard campfires, Chelsea also created a lounge area with blankets, poufs, and pillows perfect for a bonfire hangout.

Underneath the Stars

For her wedding day, the bride desperately wanted to dance underneath the stars. But in New England, it is impossible to predict the weather so a tented wedding is a must. But Chelsea always finds a way to make dreams come true and so she put up paper stars. Together with the string lights, Kristie indeed danced the night away under the stars even under a tent.
