Kate and Nate wanted an intimate wedding experience with a larger guest count of about 175 people.
My response? “Perfect that is our specialty!”
We believe any size event can feel intimate. It is all about creating an intimate atmosphere with the use of space and design elements that represent YOU.
Kate and Nate chose to get married at South Farm in Morris, CT which already lent itself to an intimate experience as the wood inside the reception space is dark and warm, and the spaces on site are very cozy and have a great vibe. We had a great launching pad to creating the wedding they envisioned.
Kate & Nate decided to hold their ceremony in the sweet barn outside. It had the cozy atmosphere they desired. We also had their friends and family light a candle and place it behind where they were getting married. That way everyone was involved! These little details make all the difference. They are the things that people remember, the things that feel like YOU!
Kate and Nate’s cocktail hour was held in the beer garden between the two bars. Guests were able to meander and experience the entire property as they wished.
We did something a little different for their reception. We had all the guests on the dance floor dancing BFORE dinner! It was incredible to see everyone out on the floor. The night finished off with a delicious dinner and lots and LOTS of dancing. Music was provided by the wedding band, 45 Riots!
Kate and Nate finished off their night with an ice cream bar in the bull room bar, a late night party with a fire pit and a killer Spotify playlist.
Overall their wedding was incredibly fun, intimate and it was so Kate & Nate.
One of my favorite parts about planning Kate & Nate’s wedding (well, really any wedding for that matter) is making it represent who they are. I want every one of their guests saying “that was so Kate & Nate”.

Kate’s Review: Our wedding was two weeks ago and we are still coming down off the high of such a wonderful weekend. Chelsea was truly a delight to work with and I would recommend her to anyone! My husband and I live in Amsterdam, and planning our wedding from thousands of miles away was a daunting task. Chelsea expertly managed all of the vendors and detail of the day, approaching everything with charm and enthusiasm. While she was awesome the entire time, she really blew us away the days leading up to the wedding. She took care of EVERYTHING, got her hands dirty and ran around (literally) in order to make our dreams come true. It wouldn’t have been the same event without her – we are forever grateful!!
