Melanie & Chef Tyler Anderson's Great Gatsby Themed Wedding Blog - Pearl Weddings & Events

Melanie and Tyler got married September 2, 2018 in Hartford, Connecticut. The sun was out, the air was warm and there was a lot of excitement floating throughout everyone! The wedding ceremony was held at the Hartford City Hall in downtown Hartford, Connecticut and their reception was at The Goodwin Hotel which is the home for Porron & Pina (Tyler’s restaurant).

Melanie is a native to the area, born and raised in Connecticut. While Tyler came to Connecticut from the West Coast. Tyler has more than made him self known here in CT. He has brought good food and service to Connecticut’s restaurant scene with his highly successful restaurants MillWright’s, The Cook and The Bear, Porron & Pina. I can imagine there will be plenty more in the future! 🙂

If you are ever in New England make sure you check out any of his restaurants and you will be thoroughly impressed, to say the least. Tyler was also a contestant on the popular TV show, Bravo TV’s Top Chef.

Knowing the obvious importance of food to Tyler, you can imagine the meal was going to be something special for his own Wedding. But, that wasn’t the only fun detail to their day!

Melanie and Tyler decided to have a Great Gatsby themed wedding!

All their guests dressed in their most dapper outfits! We had a 1940’s vehicle drop them off to the ceremony and also act as their getaway car. The flapper dancers passed out Candy Cigarettes during cocktail hour. When their guests entered into the beautiful marble event space at The Goodwin Hotel there was a Champagne tour at the center on the room. The florals laced the main stairwell and stood about 4 feet tall on each table. The tiny bottled favors were a specialty cocktail crafted and corked special for Melanie & Tyler’s Wedding night.

Everyone continued to celebrate this beautiful night with an amazing 1940’s style band, delicious desserts, Great Gatsby Entertainment and a killer food truck. To say it was a night to remember is an understatement.

Thank you Melanie & Tyler for choosing Pearl Weddings & Events to help bring your day to life! Enjoy every moment together, forever. 🙂
