This beautiful styled shoot was inspired by a Hair & Make Up Artist, Photographer and Wedding Planner (Belle Noelle, Shaina Lee Photography and myself) who were looking to show off their elegant, whimsical, creativity and love for what they do even in the winters of New England!
We found the property of the Haley Mansion in Mystic, Connecticut to be the perfect spot for this shoot. The Haley Mansion is a lovely Colonial Revival mansion that was built in 1904 by Katherine Haley, widow of Albert Haley who was one of the late 1800’s owners of the Fulton Fish Market. Listed on the National Registry of Historical Places in America, the Haley Mansion features original 18th-century pine paneling imported from the home of an English Duke in 1945, mingled with hand-carved fireplaces and Dutch tiling. Not to mention, the property was gorgeous even in the winter!
We wanted to accent the natural wood used to build this home and showcase the tented property that was elegant and clean! First we chose to cover the staircase with a pink velvet linen and lots of florals by Floral Design by Justine and light blue candles! It was such a statement piece and the perfect spot for a first look!
Then we accented the hand carved fireplace with florals and blue candles as this was the perfect ceremony location for an intimate New England wedding in the winter.
Lastly, we went with an elegant whimsical look for the reception bar and table. Everything was covered with gold candle holders and blue candle sticks. We accented spaces with stunning white orchids and the perfect stationery work of Max and Maiden.
Everything came together flawless as the stunning couple danced the evening away by the Lifted Spirits bar in their elegant hair and make up styling by Belle Noelle, Dress from Ruby Bridal Boutique and Suit by Aldo’s House of Formals.
