I met these two cuties in March and, I would say, we all connected pretty quickly. I knew immediately that they were in love, that they were kind people and we were all going to end up being really good friends. All of which, I was completely accurate about! 🙂
Kaelin and Matt grew up in Connecticut and they had recently made a big move to Vermont to pursue Matt’s job. It was a big adjustment for both of them, especially while planning for a wedding. Meanwhile, their new VT home had NO cell service! Needless to say, the planning commenced and came together beautifully.
We did run into a bit of a problem back in May, when we were informed that their booked wedding venue had to close for the 2017 wedding season, due to zoning issues. This was very devastating news, as you can imagine. Kaelin and Matt felt like they had found their unicorn venue and then it had to close just 4 months prior to their wedding. Kaelin and I teamed up and I offered to help find them a new wedding venue. I knew I could not guarantee a venue to be open over labor day weekend but I was going to give it everything I had (I was hired as their Month-Of-Coordinator but, I felt like the Universe guided me to these two for a reason and I was going to help).
We went through every possible idea out there. We had a modest budget and very little time to work with. Keep in mind, we were doing this all over Facebook messenger because they had absolutely NO cell service where they lived! LOL
I narrowed it down to 2 venue options. Kaelin drove back to CT for the weekend, and venue shopping we went! Her mom joined us on the first trip. And the first trip was hit. We visited The Inn at Mount Pleasant. This group was so amazing, welcoming and kind. They were the perfect match for Kaelin and Matt! Kaelin fell in love with the venue and the rest is history.
Kaelin and Matt were married September 2, 2017 and it was so the most pleasantly beautiful wedding I have ever been a part of. I will remember this couple forever and our friendship will definitely live on. I am so honored to have been a part of their Magical day. <3
