This year has been absolutely incredible for me. I got engaged and married to the man of my dreams. I left my corporate job. I looked at WHO I am, more than ever. Now I am announcing my newest business venture for 2017 – Pearl Weddings & Events!!! 

Wedding planning has been a passion of mine since I can remember. In 2009, I began an internship for Erica Powell at Ambiance Luxe Wedding Designs. I remember when I landed the internship – I thought I was in a dream, something so wonderful had fallen in MY lap!

Now here is the story to how Pearl Weddings & Events came about.

In 2016, the man of my dreams proposed to me on New Years Eve! Yay! I was working for Aetna and I had just completed planning and implementing one of the largest projects I have ever worked on. The project ended up saving the company thousands of dollars, then I quit. Yup, I quit my secure corporate job. 

In the midst of all of this career change, my husband and I were planning our Wedding!

In May, we decided we wanted to elope. Come August, we realized that an elopement was NOT what we wanted for our Wedding.

We changed our minds a lot. And that is OK! 

So, we planned our enchanted forest DIY Wedding in two months. TWO MONTHS! It was amazing. Those two months of planning and crafting, were two months of complete bliss for me. I didn’t want it to end. I wanted it to keep going, and going, and going. 

On the last night of our honeymoon we were sitting by the fire, holding each other and reminiscing on the beauty of our life together and how it was only going to get better… 

VOILA! There it was. It was so obvious. I wanted to open MY OWN Wedding planning company!

I love it. I love how I have known this passion of mine forever. I love that it came to the surface while planning my own Wedding. I love that I tried so many different avenues before I landed here. I love that I will continue to grow and change.

And I love, LOVE. This is my passion. This is my calling.

And now, this is my #WHY – I want to spread my love and passion. I want to listen and understand someone else’s love story and Wedding vision. I want to bring their vision to life. I want to be by their side to witness and experience their love. I want to love what I do Every. Single. Day.
